How to stop promotional SMS & Call
If you are hate the annoying promotional messages which they send from dawn to sometimes even after midnight, then there is good news for you.
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has asked on 24 April 2021 mobile phone users to use the “Do Not Disturb” service to stop receiving unwanted and promotional texts on phones.
Ironically, this service is not new but due to a lack of publicity and awareness, many people do not know about the DND service. So, BTRC started broadcasting the details of the service in the media.
Anyone who does not want to receive promotional SMS on their mobile can dial the following short code and activate the Do Not Disturb service.
To stop unwanted phone calls and messages will have to dial following code.
